I am a ‘modern mama’ to three girls in Edmonton. My Adventure girl (age 3), my Crafty girl (age 5) and my new precious (born Feb ‘09) keep me busy when i’m not working on Modern Mama. I started Modern Mama to offer up something for Moms that doesn’t already exist – time for us while staying attached to baby!

Thank you for your article regarding car seats in this months Terwillegar Community Leauge News. I am an RN and a mom and my pet peeve is improper use of car seats. I send babies home from hospital and am always amazed at how little new parents know about proper carseat use. It shocks me that they don’t even bother to to read the manual! Of course, parnets of older children are also ill-informed about carseat use. Seeing kids in the front seat or out of their carseats too early drives me crazy! I’ve even talked to a family in the Southgate parking lot as they had their baby improperly fastened in the carseat (buckles too loose & handle up). They had no idea that they were putting their child in danger!
Would you give me permision to ask if your article could be included in my children’s school newsletter (George H Luck). I see so many kids who are not buckled safefly in their parent’s vehicles.
